Adults and children, who visit this site should be able to take part fully. When information is collected from users, it’s done in such a way that does not infringe you or your child’s right to privacy. The following information tells you about your rights and the way your information is collected and used on this site.


Users will not be asked to disclose any more information than is reasonably necessary to enable them to participate in an activity on the web site and to ensure that our web site is in keeping with the user’s needs.
Generally any personal information collected from you or your child through this web site is never disclosed to third parties. In the rare occasion that this does happen, we will say so when the information is collected and you or your child will be able to inform us that you do not wish us to do this. This will not stop you enjoying the site, you can simply tell us that you are happy for us to have the information so you can take part in the activities on offer, but that you do not want us to pass that information on.


Besides what we describe in this Privacy Policy, we do not maintain any personal information obtained from users through this web site in a retrievable form.


What information is collected and how is it used?
When you or your child want to participate in activities on our web site, this is the sort of information we ask for and how we use it:


If you Leave a Note (publically) for Jenny, you will need to provide a name and a valid email address. This is so that your message can be organised and identified by the web site server. The supplied name will be shown with your message and your email address will never be disclosed, you are advised to not use your real or full name.
If you send Jenny a message by email, it will be seen by Jenny and your email address will be used solely for the purpose of responding to your message. Information gathered in this way will never be disclosed and will only be used for this purpose.
If you send Jenny your photographs, artwork or stories for the purpose of featuring them in The Gallery area of the site, your first name may be used to credit your work publically. Parents/guardians are responsible for their child’s actions online and as such we ask that adult consent be gained in advance.

Ebook Promotions. We use BookFunnel.com to distribute ebooks. To deliver your ebook, BookFunnel requires a valid email address. We may use this email address to communicate with you regarding promotions jennyyork.com is running which we feel might interest you. We will never disclose your email address to another party, and you are free to unsubscribe from emails at any time, at which point your email address will be deleted from our records. Bookfunnel is a secure ebook delivery service, who will not advertise to you, or pass on your details to other parties. Their collection of your email address is used solely to send you your ebook.


Adults on Jenny’s web site
Parents and guardians are encouraged to spend time online with their children and to participate in the activities offered on this site. If your child is younger than 13, we ask you to play an active role in safeguarding his or her privacy when using our site. For more information, the NSPCC web site has a helpful guide for adults.


Children under 13 years of age
No information should be submitted to or posted on the site by children under 13 without the prior consent of a parent or guardian. Whenever a child under 13 takes part in an activity on the site where personal information is required, written consent should be given by completing and submitting the Parental Consent Form by email to jenny@jennyyork.com


Older children
If your child is older than 13, they can give consent personally for the use of his or her information for anything (we will also say what we plan to do with it).
